Why publish with PoeticWorks?
We realized a need existed within the poetry and short story-teller community, to allow authors an opportunity to showcase their skills, while earning them the prestigious status of "published author". This status opens doors that were once bolted shut. Published authors are often sought to do professional readings, EmCee for Spoken Word/Open Mics, and other events nationally.
We are not a Traditional Publisher. Unlike authors who are published via the traditional publisher route, our authors maintain creative control of their work, never lose the rights to their work, are under no obligation to remain with us, and are paid higher royalties for their work. Yes, our authors do pay for editing, printing, production, and a few of the other options, but what a small price to pay to pay for piece of mind, high quality publishing, and complete ownership of their work.
Our books are sold at PoeticWorks' Bookstore on Amazon.Com. That means, over 29 million potential customers are afforded the opportunuty to view your book with the option to buy from the comforts of home.
We promote our books nationally. We send press releases out nationally to major and local media industries. We host booksignings in the California area and our Promotional and Marketing Package contains posters, business cards, flyers, and individual press releases to assist the author with booksignings in his/her local area.
PoeticWorks is constantly proving its' reliability and earning its' respect within the publishing community. In our first year, PoeticWorks, LLC published the works of 35 authors. Of those 35 authors, four have been asked to speak at different events, and one of the poets participated in a Poetry Battle and walked away with a book publishing contract and $150 spending cash! Authors that have published their work with PoeticWorks normally come back and highly recommend us to their family and friends. Our reputation is spreading via the best source any company could ask for...word of mouth! What better advertisement can any publishing company ask for other than those who have used their services and are willing to speak on its' behalf?
Publishing Options
PoeticWorks has several publishing options for our prospective authors looking to have their work published. We publish collections of poetry quarterly and offer each poet their own chapter specifically for their poetry or short stories. Lastly, we have individual pricing options for authors who wish to publish their work. We understand that there are hundreds of poets who are already "famous or reputable" within their communities, schools, churches, etc. However, due to the price, time and effort it takes to self-publish, most poets "known" status, rarely extends beyond their local coffee houses. For those that try their hand at traditional publishing, they are often disheartened to find that most traditional publishers will be more likely to consider already published writers vice non-published ones, sending you back to square one...how do I become a published poet if no one will publish my work?
We offer different options to assist you in getting the recognition you deserve while earning you the status and reputation of a"published author" and saving you money and time.
